Asthma/Secondhand
Smoke Ads
In
the summer and fall of 2006 some TFM members collaborated with the Tobacco
Prevention Program at the Michigan Dept. of Community Health in a small
project to bring attention to the risks of secondhand smoke exposure for
people and children with asthma, featuring all the major ethnic populations
of Michigan. The project was funded by a mini-grant from The Asthma Initiative
of Michigan (AIM). The following six 30 sec. public service announcements
were the products of the project. We encourage our viewers to use these
videos to raise public awareness about the health dangers of exposure
to secondhand smoke – especially those with asthma.
