2018 Tobacco Free Michigan Conference
The 2018 Tobacco Free Michigan Conference was a tremendous success! We hosted 124 prevention experts from throughout Michigan to create an understanding of the disparities in tobacco prevention and treatment.
Kicking off the conference, we were honored to have Ken Mahoney, Muskegon County Commissioner and Terry Sabo, State Representative for the 92 District express their support for past successes, current efforts, and future initiatives within the tobacco free community.
The 28 presenters provided education on new forms of tobacco usage, the disparities within our community and the critical need to recognize and understand tobacco usage within underrepresented populations. The topics and audience participation exceeded expectations and created a passion for the crucial need to create change.
We would like to thank all of the presenters for their dedication to the tobacco free community! You ignited a new level of awareness and promoted advocacy efforts for prevention and treatment programs throughout the state.
